The 2010 Queen Elizabeth I Society Annual Meeting will be held in Corpus Christi, TX, in conjunction with the 2010 South Central Renaissance Conference.
Deadline for Submissions: 400 – 500 word abstracts by 15 December 2009.
Suggested Topics: the Queen in relation to the art, architecture, history, literature, politics, and music of her reign.
All accepted papers will be considered for the Agnes Strickland Prize for the best essay.
Submitting an abstract: All abstracts must be submitted via the South Central Renaissance Conference website. When asked “Submit abstract to which organization," choose QEIS from the pulldown menu, and fill out the form. Then send a brief email giving the title of the paper and the date you submitted the abstract to the President of QEIS, Carole Levin (levin829@yahoo.com). Papers are limited to 20 minutes.
